Alexa Plus at IBC and Cinec

The Alexa Plus is the newest addition to ARRI’s line of (digital) cameras. The PLUS provides built-in lens control and lens data, familiar to Arriflex 416 Plus users. The alluring apparition at the DGA premiere of Alexa cameras with Alura lenses completes the alliteration of the alleged favorite trinity of Haskell Wexler, ASC: cameras, cars and chicks. Alexa debuts at DGA

Four working ARRI Alexas were the objects of attention for over a thousand guests at the DGA on April 7th, from 5pm – 10pm. There were many surprises. Alexa now supports two onboard SxS memory cards. Canon 7D FGV-PL at CSC

We tested the new FGV PL-mounted Canon EOS 7D at ARRI/CSC today. Solid as a block–which is how the mount is machined–from the same custom block of metal that holds the CMOS sensor. ARRI Alexa first working prototype

The first working prototype of ARRI’s Alexa was shown “out of competition” at the AFC Micro Salon last week in Paris. AFC World Premiere: ARRI Alexa

The first working prototype of ARRI’s new Alexa 35mm digital camera was shown at an AFC Micro Salon presentation on Saturday, February 13th at 10 am. New test footage shot in Rome and inside St. Peter’s Basilica was screened.

Michael Bravin to ARRI Inc.

Michael Bravin is now at ARRI Inc. as the go-to guy handling ARRI’s arriving ALEXA cameras. Official title is VP of Market Development for Digital Camera Products.
