Canon introduces the new Cinema EOS C80 Camera.
Full Frame, RF mount, compact and lightweight, it has a 6K (26.67 Megapixel) sensor that measures 36.0 x 19.0 mm (40.7 mm diagonal). And look—it has a 4K 12G SDI Output BNC!
You could say this is the inevitable successor to the Cinema EOS C70 Camera that came out four years ago—September 2020. The C70 was the first RF mount Cinema EOS Camera. It became a breakthrough success because its Super35 4K sensor was similar to the Canon EOS C300 Mark III and yet it came in a much smaller body, albeit with fewer capabilities. read more…

I still have trouble thinking of kit as equipment and not a toy model. A quick detour via OED cites T. E. Lawrence (after Arabia), “Sergeant take this man to the Q.M. Stores, kit him at once, and put him into the first train…”

Quick review: AJA ColorBox is a powerful device for on-set color management, DIT carts, post-production work and live production. It does LUT-based color transformations using the AJA Color Pipeline as well as other look management tools—including Colorfront, ORION-CONVERT, BBC, NBCU LUTs and now ACES.
ColorBox has 12G-SDI in/out and HDMI 2.0 out. It can handle up to 4K/UltraHD 60p 10-bit YCBCr 4:2:2 and 30p 12-bit RGB 4:4:4 output. ColorBox’s browser-based user interface makes it simple to adjust settings—connected via Ethernet or a third-party WiFi adapter. read more…
