RED KOMODO 6K launched yesterday. It is available from CVP. They are taking orders and booking demos.

The new camera will be available to view and test at CVP’s Newman House showroom in Fitzrovia, London, beginning this October.

“The introduction of KOMODO presents the RED system to a whole new market. RED have always been keen to offer high-end cinema cameras to as many filmmakers as possible and KOMODO addresses that with its compact, Hollywood standard of pedigree camera at an attractive price point” said CVP Sales Director, Jon Fry. “At CVP we have a fleet of units, fully rigged in multiple scenarios with the full spectrum of accessories for visitors to test and demo.”

CVP is also RED’s only exclusive Certified Service Centre in the United Kingdom. The team of highly trained engineers, based at the Brentford facility, can test and evaluate a wide range of products and provide warranty service.

CVP Newman House has opened its doors on a ‘by appointment only basis.’ In a new approach, it will house a selection of 15 – 20 of the hottest products, including RED KOMODO, spreading them in different rigged configurations across the eight showrooms. Additionally, KOMODO has been included to CVP’s online Lens Coverage and Camera Comparison Tool that offers a visual representation of lens coverage when paired with various sensor formats and different cameras using the same lens.
