Mandy Walker, AM, ASC, ACS will discuss her work at an ARRI Close-Up event in New York on Tuesday, Jan 31 at ARRI Rental from 6:30 – 9:30 pm.
Ms. Walker has been nominated for an Oscar in Best Cinematography 2023 for her work on ELVIS. (AM, by the way, is Member of the Order of Australia, for service in a particular field of activity.)
There will be time for Q&A and refreshments.

About Mandy Walker, AM, ASC, ACS
Australian cinematographer Mandy Walker, AM, ASC, ACS is currently in production on Disney’s Snow White (2023). Her latest work is Elvis (2022), nominated for an Oscar in Best Cinematography 2023. Elvis is the 4th collaboration between Walker and Luhrmann, who worked together on Chanel N°5 short subjects: The Film (2004), Chanel N°5: The One That I Want (2014) and the Oscar nominated feature film Australia (2008), which got Walker a slew of awards including the Film Critics of Australia Award for Best Cinematography. Additional feature credits include Mulan (2020), The Mountain Between Us (2017), Hidden Figures (2016), Tracks (2013), Shattered Glass (2003), Australian Rules (2002), Lantana (2001), The Well (1997) and Parklands (1996).
Mandy Walker is a member of the Order of Australia and has been inducted into the ACS Hall of fame. A sitting Governor for AMPAS, she received an Honorary Doctorate from the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS). Walker was the first woman to be get the Best Cinematography award for a feature film at the 2022 Australian Academy of Cinema Television Arts (AACTA).
