Koerner Pacific Northwest Lens Summit 2019
Koerner Camera Systems hosted the third annual Pacific Northwest Lens Summit on a sunny Saturday, May 4th, in their spacious Portland, Oregon facility. The Lens Summit is a single-day event focused on cine optics. You can meet two dozen lens, optical and accessory vendors and ogle their products with few distractions. Hasselblad X1D II 50C
This is the next episode in Game of Formats, and a very exciting saga it promises to be. Hasselblad introduced their new X1D II 50C mirrorless Medium Format digital camera today. It has the same lens mount as the original X1D introduced in 2016 and many improvements. The XCD lens mount has an 18.3mm flange focal depth and ~61mm Inside Diameter. That’s an extremely short distance from the lens mount to the sensor, which is nice. Google “Hasselblad XCD Adapters” and you’ll see many mechanical mounts. The 50 megapixel CMOS sensor has 5.3μm photosites. It measures 43.8 x 32.9 mm, which is 54.78mm diagonal. read more…
Cine Gear 2019
Cine Gear 2019. This is probably the first time I can remember wishing a trade show actually lasted longer. Cine Gear 2019 was bigger and more packed with people than ever. Effective June 1, 2019, he has been directing worldwide sales strategy and business development activities at Tribe7 — the technology start-up founded by Bradford Young, ASC and Neil Fanthom. Panasonic S1H: Full Frame 24p, 6K
S1H The Panasonic Lumix DC-S1H launched at 12:30pm at Cine Gear on May 31, 2019. The S1H is a full-frame, 36mm x 24mm sensor, 24p, 6K video camera “hiding” in the body of a DSLM.
