thanks for sharing! I’m really looking forward to more test clips :)
This is the first clip I see online from the 7D that I actually like how it looks like. Everything else I’ve seen had either major artifacts, or simply blurry quality worse than consumer camcorders (something that I wouldn’t expect at ~48 mbps).
May I ask which lens did you use for that clip? Thx.
We are prepping an action flick for this winter that will have some great Manhattan fight scenes and chase sequences. We are actually looking for a NY or Philadelphia based DP, as our previous chap retired, he did not do digital, anyhow. Those crucial fight/chase scenes we will have to shoot on film, or at the very least, on Panasonic P2 Varicam (CMOS+global shutter). But, we figure on using two or three of these little D7s for the non-critical shots, i.e. when there is no fast camera movement or subject movement. We”l probably use the D7 for 75-80% of the shots, and only 20-25% would be acquired by a film camera or Varicam. It is still a tremedous cost savings, of course. Anybody care to chime in? And there could be scripts that can be shot 100% with a Cine-DSLR.
Hey, you have a great blog here! I’m definitely going to bookmark you! Thank you for your info. And this is **Cameras Review** site/blog. It pretty much covers Cameras Review related stuff.
What I’m really impressed with is the contrast ratio with the dark street and the sunny sky, pretty good for any video technology.
