CVP Summer Kit Fest 2024 is a two-day event in London, Wednesday July 24 and Thursday July 25 ((11:00 – 18:00).
It will be like a walking tour (cine equipment scavenger hunt? pub crawl?) of trendy Fitzrovia. Your waypoints are four company showrooms, kitted out with the latest equipment and presumably hydrating and nourishing refreshments. I still have trouble thinking of kit as equipment and not a toy model. A quick detour via OED cites T. E. Lawrence (after Arabia), “Sergeant take this man to the Q.M. Stores, kit him at once, and put him into the first train…”
