But wait, there are more cameras from Blackmagic Design.

I’m watching Grant Petty’s pre-NAB presentation video from 32,000 feet, flying into Las Vegas. It’s better than the in-flight movies. Watch here.

Grant just introduced the URSA Cine 12K Large Format (Full Frame), and now, oh by the way, there will be an URSA Cine 17K 65mm Even Larger Format camera by the end of the year.

  • Sensor size: 50.808mm wide x 23.316mm high
  • Diagonal: 55.9mm

Sorry, you lost me here. Sensor size: 50.808mm wide x 23.316mm high, Diagonal: 55.9mm
How did you arrive at 65mm?

Hi Paweł, Good point. How about “Larger Format?”
We have “Large Format” Full Frame that is smaller than “Medium Format.” I guess it’s close-to analog film formats — 65mm film image dimensions are around 43mm wide x 22.5mm high (48.53mm diagonal). And then there’s your brilliant Sharp to the Edge 9×7 Digital Cinema Camera !
