Stuart Dryburgh ASC and Fred Elmes ASC will teach the next AbelCine ASC Masterclass this coming weekend.

Stuart was born in the UK, moved with his family to New Zealand, earned a degree in architecture from Auckland University, and now lives in New York. His credits include The Piano, Bridget Jones’s Diary, The Great Wall, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, among many others.

Fred was born in Mountain Lakes, NJ. He studied photography at RIT, graduated from AFI in LA and received a graduate degree in Film from NYU. Credits include Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, The Ice Storm, Synecdoche and lots more.

The ASC Master Class is an intensive weekend seminar taught by accomplished cinematographers. It is intended for students and filmmakers with intermediate-to-advanced cinematography skills.

The ASC Master Class includes practical, hands-on demonstrations of lighting and camera techniques, essential instruction in technical and practical matters, and relevant analysis of film technique.

Enrolling in the ASC Master Class can jump-start your work. At the same time, you’ll make valuable professional connections. Prominent ASC members and associates serve as instructors during the two-day course, offering advice on the creative and business aspects of the cinematographer’s job.
