Jacques Delacoux, President and Managing Director of Transvideo and Aaton-Digital, received the Legion d’Honneur medal in a ceremony at la Femis in Paris this evening.
The Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur (Order of the Legion of Honor) was established by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802 and is the highest honor in France.
More pictures to come from the ceremony, presided over by Pierre-William Glenn, AFC and president of the CST. Meanwhile, the original awards looked like this in 1804, as painted by Jean-Baptiste Debret:
Jacques Delacroix deserves an honour for his contribution to cinematography in every country in the world. A great Frenchman and gentleman.
