Cinec Expo Munich. September 22-24

Cinec 2012 will take place in Munich for the 9th time. This international trade show is held every two years, and is one of the essential waypoints for anyone interested in learning about the latest in high-end motion picture production equipment, technology and technique.

More than 130 exhibitors will be exhibiting at the M.O.C. Convention Center on the outskirts of Munich–near BMW headquarters.

Exhibits will include new developments in camera technology, camera support / grip, lighting, sound, postproduction, stereo 3D, archiving, data management, equipment, accessories, and production services.

The seminar program with focus on “The Future of Cinematography.”

One day before the start of the cinec (Sept 21), there will be screenings and presentations in the ARRI cinema on Tuerkenstrasse in Munich. Presentations will include recent research and how it affects shooting and post production, higher definition or higher frame rates, how much color an image requires, and improving viewer experience.

On Saturday, Sept 22, the focus will be on state of Stereo 3D.

Seminars on Sunday, Sept 23 will illuminate lighting for film and the latest innovations in LED technology.

Monday, Sept 24 will have discussions on production and distribution in a digital society,  new approaches in production and the formats of the future.

One highlight of cinec are the cinecAwards. The awards are presented by the Society of Bavarian CineTechnik, and will be presented to innovative products. Applications for the Awards can be downloaded at www.cinec.de
