The FUJINON 19-35mm T3.5 for GFX Format (54.8mm image diagonal) launched today—July 9, 2026.
The official name is Fujinon GF19-35mmT3.5 PZ OIS WR. GF= Fujinon GF lens for G Mount; PZ=Power Zoom; OIS=Optical Image Stabilization; WR=Water Resistant.
Because you can never go wide enough—especially in Larger Format for epic vistas, wide close-ups, handheld and up-close action shots, this 19-35mm zoom is the equivalent of 15-28mm in Full Frame.
This is the second Fujinon PZ (Power Zoom) cinema lens for the GFX Larger Format system—joining its popular sibling GF32-90mm T3.5 introduced last year.
These lenses do much more than just “PZ” (Power Zoom). They are both fly-by-wire smart lenses. Internal motors move the lens elements instead of mechanical cams or helical threads. These silent, high-speed motors are synced directly with the focus, zoom, and iris rings.
Flip the Focus or Zoom switch from S to M to change from Servo to Manual lens control. Flip the Iris switch from Auto to Manual for manual control with the lens barrel. There’s also a “C” for Command position on the same switch to adjust the iris via the dial on the camera or top handle.
At this time, only the GFX ETERNA 55 supports powered (internally motorized) zoom. Presumably other GFX cameras will provide power zoom with future firmware updates. Until then, manual zoom is fully functional, and the internal zoom elements follow the zoom ring’s encoded rotation electronically.
There are focus end stops. You can switch from Servo (Auto) focus to Manual focus during a shot. The internal encoders are precise and your focus settings will be remembered even after the camera is turned off and on.
Optical Image Stabilization can be turned on or off.
All three rings also have standard 0.8M gears for traditional external lens motors.
Servo Zoom can also be controlled directly by the dials on the body or handle of the GFX ETERNA.
