“The Human Voice” starring Sophia Loren – Naples Production Stills

[new_royalslider id=”7″]

Here’s a slideshow of production stills from Naples, on the short film production of “The Human Voice.” Starring Sophia Loren, directed by Edoardo Ponti, cinematography by Rodrigo Prieto, ASC, AMC. From the 1930 play by Jean Cocteau, about a woman’s break-up and breakdown. Her lover calls on the telephone to announce that he is going to marry another woman.

Locations include the Palazzo Real, the Royal Palace of Naples, residence of  the Bourbon Kings, and a lookout over Naples, with Mount Vesuvius in the background.

Camera: Canon C500 shooting 2K 12-bit onto Codex S. (Because Edoardo and Rodrigo liked the look of Canon 2K vs Canon 4K – including more exposure latitude than Canon 4K 10-bit or Canon C300 HD 8-bit.)

Lenses: Canon zooms, Cooke S4 primes. They matched well.

Lots of pictures here showing the configuration: Cinematography Electronics CineTape, Preston FI+Z, Arri matteboxes, OConnor Head, Fisher 10 dolly, ARRI HMIs, Kino Flo units, etc.

Very good stills and did enjoy the cinematographic hardware you used.
I use a Canon XF300 for documentary film.
    Success!
