Leica’s Eleven

Three additional focal length Leicas were “leaked” at IBC as prototype models. The new Summilux-C  16, 29, and 65 mm primes are planned to be introduced at NAB 2012. This brings the set to eleven: 16, 18, 21, 25, 29, 35, 40, 50, 65, 75, and 100 mm. They are all 142 mm long from front to flange, have 95 mm front diameters, weigh 1.6 – 1.8 kg, have uniform expanded focus scales and rear net holders. Distributed by Band Pro.

I’d like to see a 135mm as well (I don’t know if they can keep the size the same with that though…).

Oh, and much better availability. Crank up those production lines!

Your wish may be granted. There are unofficial reports of a 135 mm T1.4 lens being planned, along with a 180 and 14 mm.
