“Technique and Technology” — how the tools we use influence style — and vice versa. Jon will take us on a whirlwind 5-minute history of art, photography and cinematography to see where we’ve been, where we’re going, and how we put motion into motion pictures.
Tuesday, April 12 at 3pm: Vincent Laforet will talk about the journey from stills to cinematography.
Wednesday, April 13 at 12 noon: Michael Huss, cinematographer and fellow New Yorker, will present the latest in shooting and lighting techniques.
Wednesday, April 13 at 1:30pm: Geoff Boyle FBKS, cinematographer and CML founder, will talk about taking cinematography from 2D to 3D.
