Dedo Weigert, BVK

Dedo Weigert, BVK, cinematographer and eponymous inventor of precision lighting systems (Dedo Lights, etc), recently received the White Square Award during the White Square Film Festival in Moscow. Dedo also was made an honorary member of the Russian Guild of Cinematographers, the second honorary member in the guild’s history.

The main award of the cinematography-oriented festival went to Igor Klebanov for the film “Mirage”. Klebanov is president of the Russian Guild of Cinematographers, R.G.C.  (www.kinoglaz.ru), professor and head of the camera department of VGIK (www.vgik.info).
