BIRTV China 2016

The China film industry’s growth potential is big, increasing at 17% per year since 2011. The media and film industry at the end of 2016 will be worth $180 billion and next year an increase is expected, while the domestic film audience will exceed that of the U.S. in less than four years. Today, China’s movie ticket sales is second only to the U.S. Last year’s box office revenue hit a record $6.8 billion – up 49% from 2014. All this activity was tangible at this year’s BIRTV in Beijing, Asia’s influential exhibition for the film and broadcast industry. read more…

Fujinon Lens Day In Hollywood at ASC

Tuesday May 24th was Fujinon Day in Hollywood, at the ASC Clubhouse.  It was an afternoon and evening to learn about lens design, technology, applications and Fujinon’s wide selection of PL mount zoom lenses. Workshops and panel discussions explored the creative, optical and budgetary considerations that are critical to modern optics design. NAC Open House in Tokyo

NAC Image Technology’s annual Open House event was held on June 24 and 25 at Toei studio in Oizumi, Tokyo. Around 400 visitors attended during the two days. MICRO SALON ITALIA 2015

The third annual AIC (Associazione Italiana Autori della Fotografia Cinematografica – Association of Italian Cinematographers) Micro Salon Italia, organized by Daniele Nannuzzi – just reelected as AIC President – and Luciano Tovoli,  with the help of Simone Marra, secretary general AIC, moved from its original Cinecittà Studios Stage 1 & 2 location to E.U.R.’s Salone delle Fontane. BSC Expo – Images Added

The 2014 BSC Expo was held at Warner Bros Studios in Leavesden, near London, on January 24 and 25. This year, the Expo hosted around 2.500 visitors—up from last year at Pinewood.
