Panasonic Varicam 4K Ships

 Panasonic VariCam 35 and VariCam HS cameras are shipping. The VariCam 35 has a 35mm sensor, PL mount, and records 4K RAW,  4K, UHD, 2K, HD and ProRes. Blackmagic Camera Update 1.9.7

Blackmagic Design Camera 1.9.7 software is now available on the Blackmagic Design website. It includes dashboard on screen menus and disk formatting for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera and Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. ARRI Alexa SUP 10.0 Bug

ALEXA Software Update Packet (SUP) 10.0 has been removed temporarily from the ARRI website because of a critical recording bug. This bug could cause distorted images being recorded — while the image in the viewfinder, REC OUT and MON OUT looks OK. Denz BP12 Adapter for Alexa

Seen at Cinec, the latest Denz BP12 adapter attaches to the base of ARRI Alexas. The baseplate slides onto industry-standard bridgeplates. Denz bridgeplates come in lengths of 600, 440, 325 and 200 mm and have almost indestructible, Teflon-impregnated hard-coat which provides a smooth surface.

Sony F55 Doc Dock

The Doc Dock for Sony’s F55 Camera is officially named “CBK-55BK build-up kit.” It bolts to the base and turns the F55 into a single-operator, documentary/ENG-style, shoulder-resting camera.
